Ranking my top 4 west end shows 2023 edition

Posted on March 5, 2024

If you know me personally, you’d know I love the theatre both regionally and London’s West End. I have been lucky enough to see quite a lot of west end shows in my lifetime including jukebox musicals, Book musicals and comedy plays.

Since I’ve started my theatre blog, podcast and social media channels. I have been invited to review a number of shows. You can find my reviews on my website.

Please remember that theatre is subjective and a production that I might like, you might have a different opinion.

Please see my top four West end musicals and comedies.

The Play that goes wrong

Duchess Theatre

To start off my top five list is Mischief Theatres’ The Play That Goes Wrong, playing at the Duchess Theatre. The Play That Goes Wrong is Written by Jonothan Sayer, Henry Lewis and Henry Shields.

I have been lucky enough to see this show a number of times, most recently earlier this year and is still as funny as the first time I saw it!

Wicked

Apollo Victoria Theatre

Wicked is the other of my favorite musicals that I’ve seen in the last 5 years. It was also the first piece of theatre I wrote a review of on my website, which you can find here https://timtalkstheatre.co.uk/wicked-the-musical-at-apollo-victoria-theatre-london-my-review/  It took me over 15 years to see this production, as you maybe aware it has fabulous songs including One short Day and Defying Gravity.
