2:22 A Ghost Story - A Ghostly Night out at the Theatre (My Spoiler Free Review)

Posted By Tim Todd | Posted 2 months ago

On Thursday 13th June I was invited to the gala night of 2:22 A Ghost Story at the Gielgud Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue, London. This also marks the first time I have seen the production.

The star studded cast for this production includes Donna Air as Lauren, James Buckley as Ben, Stacey Dooley as Jenny and Joe McFadden as Sam. The company members are Letitia Hector and Che Walker.

2:22 A Ghost Story is written by Danny Robins, creator of BBC podcast The Battersea Poltergeist, and is directed by Matthew Dunster and Isabel Marr. 2:22 A Ghost Story is an adrenaline-filled night at the theatre where secrets emerge and ghosts may or may not appear.

The moment this show begins, you know something bad is going to happen and have to wait until the second act (I’m not going to tell you what happens as you’ll receive no spoilers from me).

The use of special effects makes this production exciting and thrilling and helps progress the storyline with comedic moments that makes the production good. For me the stand out performances were Stacey Dooley as Jenny and James Buckley as Ben, however the whole cast were great.

The one tiny thing was some of the special effects were fairly quiet which was a shame. Overall I found the production to be thrilling with a number of jump scares and certain times in the show. When you thought you might know what the ending is, you definitely do not as there is an exciting twist at the end.

If you’re looking for a ghostly night out at the theatre, I would recommend you pay this production a visit.

2:22 A Ghost Story is running at the Gielgud Theatre until 4th August 2024. You can book tickets here - https://prf.hn/l/Vx8Gzg9 #aff

I’m giving the show a star rating of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
